This timed, competitive race includes prizes for the winners. So far the fastest human/dog combo was Weimaraner Kaydom and his human Brian Duff, who came in with a time of 4:13 in 2016. June 8, 2019: 5th Annual Catherine’s Butterfly Party

Back for its fifth year, this family festival and pet adoption event takes place from 12 p.m. to 4p.m. on the Fairfield Hills Campus in Newton, CT. Hosted by the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary, the event celebrates the life of Catherine Hubbard, who lost her life during  the Sandy Hook tragedy and will benefit the foundation’s development of the new animal sanctuary in Newtown. Last year, over 6,000 attended the event, and over 70 homeless animals found fur-ever homes. This year’s event will feature 28-plus animals rescue organizations, over 100 adoptable pets, live wildlife demonstrations, pet-related vendors, local artisans, food trucks, live music, entertainment and endless activities for kids. Founded to promote love and education for the Corgi breed, Northern California’s Corgi Con occurs bi-annually in June and October. Corgi Con’s Saturday, June 15th event marks the 5th anniversary, when thousands of visitors from all over the world and their Corgis will gather to participate in fun-filled events and opportunities to win prizes at Ocean Beach. W San Francisco, an electric urban oasis located in the heart of San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, is the official pet-and-human-friendly hotel partner of Corgi Con. W San Francisco’s launched P.A.W. (“Pets are Welcome”) Bed and Bowl package designed to deliver unforgettable experiences to hotel guests and their pups now and throughout summer, with pet-friendly amenities. June 27, 2019: Yappy Hour at Hotel Zoe

Hotel Zoe will be hosting its very first Yappy Hour for all of our PAWesome, furry friends. During the event, Hotel Zoe will be providing doggie-themed cocktails by Bar Zoe and snacks from the hotel’s recently renovation Italian trattoria Pescatore for purchase in their beautiful, outdoor courtyard equipped with firepits, communal seating and a whimsical Zoe muse installation in the backdrop. Hotel Zoe is teaming up with two local vendors, Wonder Dog Rescue, an SF-based dog rescue organization, to bring in dogs for adoption, and Jeffrey’s Natural Pet Foods who will bring in dog food and treats for sale and samples for our four legged attendees. Event is free to public to attend, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
